Description
A heavier Scorpion choice for .243 handloads
The 90-grain Gold Country Scorpion is for the handloader who wants more mass than the 80-grain Scorpion while retaining an open-tip, flat-base design. That makes it a meaningful neighboring choice—not another interchangeable .243 listing.
The Scorpion uses a copper jacket, lead core and no exposed lead at the nose. Its construction supports the selection decision, but actual accuracy and terminal behavior remain functions of the completed load, rifle, impact velocity and conditions.

Choose by construction and weight
Compare the lighter 80-grain Scorpion when reduced mass better fits the intended load. Compare the 95-grain Viper when a conventional exposed-lead soft-point spitzer is the preferred construction path.
Use an appropriate published load-data source and verify cartridge dimensions, seating, twist, firearm condition and safe function for the individual rifle.
