Description
The heavier flat-base Viper choice for .243 handloads
The 95-grain Gold Country Viper gives the handloader a heavier soft-point spitzer option than the 80-grain Viper. It is meant to clarify a real choice: more bullet mass within the Viper construction path, or an open-tip Scorpion when that different nose design better fits the intended load.
Gold Country hand swages this copper-jacketed, lead-core bullet with an exposed soft point and flat base. Those are construction facts, not a promise of accuracy or terminal outcome; the completed load, individual rifle and impact conditions still govern performance.

Choose by the complete load
Compare the lighter 80-grain Viper when a lower bullet weight better fits the intended cartridge. Compare the 90-grain Scorpion when an open-tip design is the more useful construction path.
Use an appropriate published load-data source and verify cartridge dimensions, seating, twist, firearm condition and safe function for the individual rifle.
