Why this bullet was selected

The Hornady InterLock is a conventional jacketed lead-core hunting bullet. Its exposed-lead flat point and cannelure make it a natural fit for the cartridge’s traditional lever-rifle role. Hornady’s InterLock design uses an internal ring intended to help retain the core and jacket together during expansion.
