Why this 95-grain soft-point load exists

A deer hunter choosing among .243 Winchester ammunition is often deciding between very light, fast varmint bullets and heavier hunting bullets. The 95-grain Gold Country soft point keeps the familiar exposed-lead hunting profile while moving to the heavier end of the current Gold Country .243 family.

Choose it when you prefer a conventional soft point for deer and general field use. Choose the neighboring 95-grain Hornady SST load when that tipped construction better fits your preference, or move to the lighter Viper and Scorpion loads for predator and varmint work.
