A small step beyond the familiar 240-grain .44 bullet

Sometimes the useful choice is not a dramatic jump in bullet weight. A handloader may want slightly more mass than the familiar 240-grain class while keeping the Rhino family’s jacketed, exposed-lead wide-flat-nose construction.

The 245-grain .429 Rhino fills that narrow but practical position. It provides a measured step between the 240-grain Rhino and the heavier 265- and 300-grain choices.

We supply 50 bullets. The bullets are hand swaged in small batches, made to order and normally ship within seven business days.

Choose the weight as part of the whole load

The additional five grains do not by themselves guarantee greater penetration, energy, accuracy or any other outcome. Bullet weight affects the load as a system, including published data selection, seating, pressure, velocity, recoil and firearm function.

Reloading safety: Verify every recipe against the cited published source and its current edition. Begin only with the source’s stated starting load and confirm the exact cartridge, bullet, powder, primer, case, overall length, firearm, and pressure limits. A similar bullet weight or diameter does not establish interchangeability.
