Description
The 80-grain .243 choice when construction must keep working after contact
The Gold Country Razorback gives the .243 handloader a third construction path at 80 grains. Instead of the Viper’s conventional exposed-lead soft point or the Scorpion’s open tip, the Razorback uses a serrated copper jacket with lead supported to the flat tip.
This is a box of component bullets, not loaded ammunition. Its construction provides the design path; the completed load, rifle, distance, angle and impact conditions determine the actual field result.
Why choose the Razorback
The Razorback system is built around arrival integrity and progressive response under resistance. The serrations provide planned stress points in the jacket while the supported lead nose keeps mass behind the point. That makes this the 80-grain hunting choice for handloaders who place structural behavior ahead of an expansion-first profile.
- Serrated copper-jacket geometry
- Lead supported to the flat tip
- Flat-base construction
- Hand swaged in small batches
- Intended for hunting-load development
