Description
When deeper travel matters before a bullet opens
This 190-grain .308 Razorback is for the hunter choosing a heavy bullet around penetration-first design. Its soft blunt nose and serrated jacket offer a different starting shape from the standard 190-grain Razorback, whose exposed lead tip reaches the jacket serrations. The standard version is intended to travel farther before mushrooming; this blunt-nose variant gives the handloader a separate nose shape to evaluate for the intended rifle and hunt.
Why choose this construction?
Razorback is designed to resist opening too early and deform progressively as resistance builds. The serrations provide planned starting points for that deformation. Those are design goals, not a promise of a specific depth or result in every shot. Choose Viper when natural soft-point expansion is the priority; choose Scorpion when a precision-first open tip is the job.
These are 50 bullets, . The handloader must verify cartridge fit, feeding, stability and an appropriate published load for the rifle. Gold Country forms its bullets in small batches, keeping the intended nose and jacket geometry central to this selection.
For the design purpose, see the Gold Country Razorback Bullet System.
