When the usual .452 hollow point is not the answer

Many .452 bullet choices are conventional handgun hollow points. Handloaders building a woods, hunting or heavy-for-caliber load may instead need a jacketed flat nose with the Rhino family’s reinforced construction and a useful middle weight.

We supply bullets, offered in 50-, 200- and 500-count choices. We hand swage these bullets in small batches, made to order and normally ship within seven business days.

Why choose the 250-grain Rhino

The 250-grain Rhino fills the versatile middle position in Gold Country’s .452 family. Its exposed-lead wide flat nose, copper jacket, flat base and cannelure provide a different mechanical choice from the serrated Badger flat nose, the Razorback hollow point and the heavier 300-grain Rhino. Construction alone does not guarantee feeding, accuracy, penetration or a particular field result; the complete cartridge, firearm, velocity and impact conditions determine performance.

Build around the cartridge, firearm and published data

Use current published jacketed-bullet data for the exact cartridge and bullet weight. Confirm diameter, seating depth, cartridge overall length, crimp, chamber or cylinder fit and, where applicable, magazine and feeding compatibility in the firearm that will be used.

Reloading safety: Verify every recipe against the cited published source and its current edition. Begin only with the source’s stated starting load and confirm the exact cartridge, bullet, powder, primer, case, overall length, firearm, and pressure limits. A similar bullet weight or diameter does not establish interchangeability.
