.300 HAM’R ammunition for hunters choosing the bullet, not just the cartridge

A .300 HAM’R rifle can be carried for very different work, from deer and hog hunting to coyote and varmint control. The cartridge name and a 130-grain weight do not tell the whole story. The useful question is what bullet is inside and why it belongs there.

This Gold Country load pairs the .300 HAM’R with our 130-grain Scorpion: a jacketed hollow-point bullet with a flat base. It gives the shooter a clearly identified Gold Country projectile instead of another load whose purpose has to be guessed from caliber and weight alone.

Why this 130-grain Scorpion load exists

The Scorpion brings together a copper jacket, soft lead core, hollow-point cavity and flat base. Gold Country offers this load for hunters and shooters considering one cartridge across deer, hog, coyote and varmint use while still wanting to know which bullet construction they are buying.

Those construction details identify the bullet and its intended role; they are not a promise of identical expansion, penetration, accuracy or terminal behavior from every firearm or under every field condition.

Choosing this load

Choose this ammunition when a 130-grain jacketed hollow point is the deliberate choice for your .300 HAM’R. If your priority is a traditional exposed-lead soft point, round nose or broad flat nose, compare the corresponding bullet construction rather than treating every load at a similar weight as interchangeable.

Velocity basis and firearm fit

The approximately 2,464-fps figure is based on published load data and is not a Gold Country chronograph result. Actual velocity varies with barrel length, chamber, bore condition, components, temperature and ammunition lot.

Use only in firearms correctly chambered for .300 HAM’R. Confirm magazine fit, feeding, chambering and point of impact in the specific firearm before field use.
