Caldwell Precision Chrono Kit | Optical Chronograph | Bluetooth App Integration

Every shooter eventually reaches the same crossroads:

You either keep guessing…
or you start measuring.

The Caldwell Precision Chrono Kit exists as the entry point into disciplined velocity measurement — a practical, proven optical chronograph designed for shooters who want real data without complexity, heavy cost, or specialized setup.

This is not a radar unit.
It doesn’t pretend to be.

It is a clear, reliable optical chronograph that has introduced thousands of shooters to the discipline of measuring velocity instead of assuming it.

What This Tool Does Well

The Caldwell Precision Chrono Kit measures projectile velocity by tracking the projectile as it passes over extra-wide optical sensors, making it suitable for a wide range of applications:

Centerfire and rimfire firearms
Archery and crossbows
Airguns
Paintball (for field compliance and safety)

Its wide sun screens increase reliability in variable lighting, while Bluetooth connectivity allows velocity strings to be logged digitally rather than scribbled on paper.

For shooters beginning load development or validating factory ammunition, this tool answers the most important first question:

“What is my velocity actually doing?”

Bluetooth Logging for Real-World Use

Paired with the Caldwell mobile app, shooters can:

Record shot strings digitally
Calculate average velocity, ES, and SD
Store data across multiple sessions
Reduce transcription errors

It’s not about chasing perfection — it’s about building awareness.

Where This Chronograph Fits Best

New and intermediate reloaders
Shooters validating factory ammunition
Archers and airgun users needing safe, consistent velocity measurement
Clubs and ranges checking compliance
Anyone who wants data before upgrading to radar-based systems

This is a baseline tool, and it performs that role well.
