A different 250-grain answer for the handloader comparing nose designs

Choosing a .452 bullet is not only a question of weight. The Badger gives handloaders a serrated flat-nose construction to compare with the Rhino’s wide flat nose and the Razorback’s hollow-point geometry without leaving the familiar 250-grain class.

We supply 50 bullets. We hand swage these bullets in small batches, made to order and normally ship within seven business days.

Why choose the 250-grain Badger

The Badger uses a serrated copper jacket, exposed-lead flat nose, flat base and cannelure. It is the controlled-crush choice within Gold Country’s 250-grain .452 comparison family. That construction does not guarantee feeding, accuracy, deformation, penetration or a particular field result; the complete cartridge, firearm, velocity and impact conditions determine performance.

Build around the cartridge, firearm and published data

Use current published jacketed-bullet data for the exact cartridge and bullet weight. Confirm diameter, seating depth, cartridge overall length, crimp, chamber or cylinder fit and, where applicable, magazine and feeding compatibility in the firearm that will be used.

Reloading safety: Verify every recipe against the cited published source and its current edition. Begin only with the source’s stated starting load and confirm the exact cartridge, bullet, powder, primer, case, overall length, firearm, and pressure limits. A similar bullet weight or diameter does not establish interchangeability.
