A heavy .45 Colt field load for shooters who are not looking for +P pressure

Heavy .45 Colt ammunition often forces a choice between ordinary factory weights and high-pressure specialty loads. This offering is built for the shooter who wants a 300-grain Gold Country Rhino jacketed flat nose while remaining at standard .45 Colt pressure.

That distinction matters—but so does fit. These cartridges have an overall length between 1.67 and 1.70 inches. Confirm that length against the cylinder and firearm before ordering.

What the 300-grain standard-pressure load is built to do

Offer a heavier 300-grain bullet in a standard-pressure .45 Colt load
Provide a broad Gold Country Rhino jacketed flat-nose profile
Serve hunters and field shooters whose compatible firearms accept the cartridge length
Create a clearly separated alternative to Gold Country’s +P .45 Colt ammunition

Firearm-fit limitations

Confirm fit before purchase. The stated cartridge length fits the Ruger New Model Blackhawk, Bisley, previous-model Vaquero and some other firearms. It does not fit the Ruger New Vaquero because its cylinder is too short.

Do not use in replicas, military Colt .45 revolvers or older firearms. Verify the firearm manufacturer’s guidance, chambering, cylinder length and condition before use. This product is not the Gold Country +P load.

Choose by pressure class and firearm fit

Choose this load only when standard-pressure .45 Colt and the stated cartridge length match the firearm. Compare the 250-grain Rhino load for a traditional-weight alternative, or the separately identified +P listing only for a modern firearm expressly rated for that pressure class.
