Description
The .300 HAM’R occupies a narrow but powerful space between traditional .223 platforms and heavier .308-class rifles. It rewards controlled expansion, reliable feeding, and consistent velocity more than raw bullet mass. This Gold Country Scorpion™ 130-grain hollow point load was built specifically to meet those demands. At its core is our 130-grain Scorpion hollow point, a flat-base, copper-jacketed projectile with a soft lead core. The hollow-point cavity is tuned for rapid, controlled upset on thin- to medium-skinned game—delivering fast energy transfer on hogs, deer, coyotes, and similar-sized targets without over-penetration.
The flat-base design favors uniform ignition and predictable pressure curves in the .300 HAM’R case, contributing to consistent muzzle velocities and stable flight inside typical hunting distances. Based on current load data, this cartridge produces approximately 2,464 feet per second, balancing terminal performance with controllability.
Each round is assembled in the USA by Gold Country Ammo, using carefully matched components and lot-controlled processes. Ammunition ships in 50-round Gold Country boxes, ready for range verification or field use.
This is not generalized rifle ammunition.
It is built for the .300 HAM’R, for hunting and varmint work, and for shooters who value predictable performance over marketing claims.
